About

Public History Walks is an independent walking tour project created by historian Dimitrios Lalas in Berlin.

Dimitris Lalas is a Public Historian and Cultural Mediator with a passion for connecting people with history and culture. He holds a Master’s degree in Public History, a Bachelor’s in Cultural Studies, and a degree in Photography.
He has professional experience at the Stadtmuseum Berlin and the Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz, which includes the Ethnological Museum and the Museum of Asian Art, housed within the Humboldt Forum Berlin. His work bridges historical knowledge, cultural interpretation, and visual storytelling.

The historical walk in Kreuzberg, Berlin offers an exterior-only exploration of landmarks buildings and neighborhoods, linking history with everyday stories and memories of the city. Visitors discover the stories behind the buildings, streets, and neighborhoods in an engaging and interactive way, bringing the city’s history to life.
